I was doing research into the 'Modern Primitive' art form, and stumbled upon this, 'The Right of Spring' or 'Le Sacre du printemps' a ballet by Stravinsky .The circle dance is amazing, the premise for it is that the weakest of the dancers in the circle must dance until she is dead to appease the Gods of Spring. I am really interested in the composition of the dancers and have been making some sketches for some drawings I'm planning on doing. I have been interested in the whole naive, dream like and slightly grotesque nature of the Modernist movement for some time now. Also of course the music is really good, very visceral and rhythmic, but what do I know about music? nothing.
