Glass-blown face.
These are two recent drawings from my Moleskine, I hope they are visually pleasurable. Recently I have begun listening to lectures while I draw, some good, some terrible. The best lectures I find a mostly given by professors with a least two or more cultural backgrounds, many of the lectures given by American intellectuals are affronting, unpleasant and full of sarcasm and bitchiness. I am so tired of irony, I try to avoid it as much as possible, sincerity, love and the ability to convey ideas succinctly is where it's at.
Tattoo design continued.
For a while now I have promised the lovely Shay, who runs the blog http://littleswoon.tumblr.com/ that I would design her a tattoo for her fancy arms. So I thought I would stop drawing things which are not this and draw exactly what this is. Firstly here are two ideas which I think might work well, they don't have to be blue, and I hope the fills would not hurt too much:
And here are some sketches of other ideas:

Open and closed sign design
These are some illustrations I did for Petrova to be used as open and closed signs for her lovely store 'Lady Petrova'. I don't think they are up yet, but very soon you should be able to see them hanging down Scotts Alley. Also I handed some more drawings in there to hopefully be sold.

Everything But Snow
Poet and editor Josephine Rowe has a new website. I implore anyone with a love for poetry, whimsy or bird cages to make it their homepage from now on. It also features a portrait I drew some time ago. I am super honoured to even be on speaking terms with a talent such as Josephine, and it was wonderful to work with her — if it wasn't almost three in the morning I would be swooning right now.
