Bed room wall re-design

Arranging things on my bedroom wall is something I take great enjoyment from. I like how things inter-relate and thinking about the colour balance and composition. This photo was taken on my phone camera, so sorry about the poor quality. This composition features the artwork of Ricky Swallow, Ghost Patrol and my cousin Sorcha Wilcox as well as some of my own work, a gold fish necklace and a rain drum.

Ghost Patrol

A Letter came today, after working for 12 dollars an hour at Jelly's Cookies It was a lovely surprise. My cat, Napoleon didn't know quite what to make of it, so he hopped down off the sofa and started attacking the laptop cable before settling in for a nice long nap beside the television. The letter contained lots of stickers and two prints from Ghost Patrol, one of my favorite Melbourne artists. I am going to get together some stickers to send in return.

The Black Mirror

You need to click on this to see the detail. I am studying philosophy at the moment and have been reading up on my Socrates, my Plato and Me Sartre. I have also been looking at a lot of medieval art, I like the way they used form back then. So this work is a mixture of all of that. The black mirror represents the examined life, it is black to express the anguish which comes from self examination.

this is a drawing I did on a shell I found in my back garden. Our back door opens up onto the beach so there are always lots of shells and things lying around, I really love the coral surface, it'a a perfect texture for pen work. I might make this into a necklace.

I am also working on a painting at the moment, it is in the very early stages
